POLICYMONITOR
Follow the sources that matter. Get a useful briefing.
I built PolicyMonitor to collect information from many sources, identify material relevant to a question and organise it for further analysis. The result can be a briefing, newsletter or case file with a clear route back to its sources.
Much broader than policy
PolicyMonitor can follow websites, RSS feeds and documents across policy, technology, markets and other subjects. The sources and selection rules define what it covers. Access and document format determine how each source is connected.
It is useful when the same question returns every week: What has changed? Which developments deserve attention? What should we examine more closely?
From incoming material to an organised result
Collect
Monitor configured sources and bring relevant documents into the workflow.
Select
Apply topic rules and priorities so that collected material can be reviewed for a defined purpose.
Prepare
Organise selected material into briefings, case files or inputs for a deeper analysis, keeping source references available.
Use
Give readers a structured starting point for their decisions, with findings and unresolved questions kept distinct.
A public example: Link22.net
Link22.net shows the workflow in use for public information about military communications, data links and related programmes. PolicyMonitor supplies the selected source material; ShellAgents processes it into a structured briefing. I use the website to make the resulting work visible.
The example illustrates one application. The same monitoring approach can be configured around another subject and audience.
01
Define the question
Choose the subject, source set and information the intended readers need.
02
Monitor with PolicyMonitor
Collect material and select records according to the configured topic rules.
03
Process with ShellAgents
Analyse the selected material, organise findings and check their relationship to the available sources.
04
Publish the briefing
Present the result on Link22.net with its coverage period, source links and open questions.
Example edition · 25 October–1 November 2026
Coalition Networks, SATCOM and Defence Funding
A published briefing with a decision overview, topic sections, original-source links and notes identifying missing information.
Start with your sources and your question
Bring a few representative sources and the recurring question you want to answer. We can discuss the coverage, selection rules and output that would be useful to your team. A demonstration can then focus on a task you recognise.
